COMPOSITE FUEL CONTAINERS

Taking into consideration the rise of smart kitchens and the utilization of LPG or propane cylinders in strategic environments, Indane has introduced a novel cylinder for its customers that provides real-time information about the remaining gas quantity. The state-owned Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) brand has named this innovative cylinder the "Composite Cylinder."


Reportedly, the Indane composite cylinder is engineered to be blast-proof, sturdier, and safer compared to conventional cylinders. This advanced design comprises three layers: an inner liner crafted from blow-molded high-density polyethylene (HDPE), encased in a polymer-wrapped fiberglass layer, all enveloped within an external HDPE jacket.


Composite cylinders are significantly lighter than their regular counterparts. Moreover, select sections of the cylinder are transparent, enabling customers to effortlessly gauge the gas level within. This functionality proves instrumental in efficiently scheduling the next gas cylinder delivery.


One of the cylinder's standout features is its resistance to rust, owing to its non-metallic composition. Furthermore, it remains scratch-free and leaves no unsightly marks or stains on the floor.


Key Advantages:


  1. These new-age composite cylinders have multiple advantages over the existing steel cylinders.
  2. These cylinders are lightweight. The weight of a composite cylinder is half of its steel counterpart.
  3. Moreover, these cylinders have a translucent body that helps customers to accurately check the LPG level against light. This will help customers plan their next refill easily.
  4. Interestingly, these cylinders blast proof, rust-free and do not corrode and reduces the chances of leaving stains and marks on surfaces. 
  5. Designed  in such a way that these cylinders make them visually appealing and ideal  for the modern kitchens of today.
  6. At present, these smart cylinders are available at all distributors in 2kg, 5 kg, 10 kg and 20 kg sizes.
  7. The IOCL has also announced that these cylinders will soon be available across the nation.
  8. Another  interesting fact is that you can replace the existing LPG steel cylinders with composite cylinders easily.
